In Hebrews 4:12, the Bible says, "For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
Why do we need this Word?
Every day, we face challenges that test our decision-making skills. These obstacles often aim to steal, destroy, and kill our destiny. As millions of thoughts pass through our minds, we must be careful about which words we choose to express. Our words carry power; by speaking, we bring our thoughts to life, so it's essential to be mindful of what we say. Sometimes, we say things we don't fully mean or understand the implications of.
When words are spoken, they accomplish what they were intended to—never returning void. The same mouth can speak words that either build or destroy. Each day presents new challenges that force us to speak, and our words can profoundly impact our lives, both positively and negatively.
Today's Challenges for Women
Women today are not only concerned with caring for their immediate families, but they are also expected to be economically productive. Many are facing intense emotional, mental, and financial demands while also having to cope with daily stressors, such as:
- Domestic and community violence, child neglect/abuse
- Child-headed households
- Substance abuse and addiction
- Unemployment
- Natural disasters

It’s crucial to find time to recharge and remind yourself who you are and what you are capable of. Remember, we have not been given a spirit of fear, but one of power and a sound mind.
- Declare daily that you are powerful.
- You carry God-given strength.
- You can do all things through God, who strengthens you.
- You possess divine power to complete any assignment.
- Believe that you are anointed.
